Meet the Author
In today’s world of publishing, publishing agreements are a necessity and protect both the publisher and author. The publishing agreement provides an author with a written document outing in detail what is required of the author as well as exactly what are the responsibilities of the publisher. The best agreement is where both sides WIN! Written by one of the nation’s leading publishers and best-selling author, Dr. Leland Benton is the author of almost a dozen books dealing in publishing and authorship. He is a best-selling author with over 200-books published on alone. If you are an author, you need to read this book. This book IS NOT for self-publishing indie authors. It is designed to assist authors who require a publisher.
The Publishing Agreement Publishing Contracts ePublishing Book 11 edition by Dr Leland Benton Reference eBooks
Dr. Benton has provided an invaluable resource for writers who are in the process of negotiating a publishing contract or those who are even considering traditional publishing. This is a no-nonsense, no fluff book that gets right to the meat of what you need to know before you sign that contract. Benton is generous with outside links that enhance what he shares. I'd advise that even if you have a literary agent, you'd be wise to speak from a point of knowledge that a book like this one provides. I've looked for a solid book on contract negotiation to recommend to the writers I work with and this one fits the bill.Product details

A Tremendous help in getting my book published!
If you are about to enter in to a "book deal" you will definitely want to check into your rights as a author before some sweet deal turns out sour. Some authors are so eager to get published the forget the fine print or they fail to read it. Get armed read this book.
If you are a new author and want to publish your work, this book has really helpful and good information on how to do that. It covers every aspect of what you need in a publishing agreement in detail so that nothing gets left out. This way the author knows what to require and what to expect when trying to publish a book. Very helpful.
For new authors like me this book is extremely valuable to learn about publishing details like contracts and agreements. From his own experience, the author professionally writes about the need and anatomy of a publishing agreement, how to negotiate, and many details that new author wouldn't even think about. Great book, worth of investment.
There is a lot to know about publishing and this book delivers all the know how. Checklists are important in any kind of organizing but none more so that in publishing. I thought the author laid everything out in an easy to understand manner. The agreements are the most important part of the book as far as I'm concerned and I was equally intrigued with chapter three on negotiating a publishing agreement. Well done and highly recommended!
Leland Benton, Editor-in-Chief of ePubWealth, a full service international publishing house, and an independent publisher of his own books, gives you the best of both worlds in Publishing Contracts - The Publishing Agreement. He teaches what publishers want in a contract as well as what authors should and must have in a contract. It is important to know what is expected and be protected. Even if you have a literary agent negotiating for you, it is in your best interest to know the "ropes." This book is for authors seeking to publish with a publishing house, not for indie (self-publishing) authors. Highly recommended.
